Job Details for UI/UX Designer
About us: CF Studio (DesignChords, now a part of CF Studio) is a multi-disciplinary center of entrepreneurial activity backed up by Silicon Valley entrepreneurs. We're building a team of talented individuals across design, engineering, and product management to develop web 2.0 products/applications. The founding team is from Stanford university and Mckinsey. Current offices are in Palo Alto, California and Gurgaon, India.
Your responsibilities will include:
1.Design and develop visual elements, user experience workflow and user interface for our web and mobile applications
2.Bring strong creative, conceptual and problem-solving skills to translate ideas (business needs and user goals) into interaction and design solutions.
3.Manage design practices, particularly as they apply to the implementation of standards for interaction, color, typography, graphics and all other visual/interactive expressions of the user experience
4.Develop visual mockups, conceptual diagrams, graphic assets, wireframes, and prototypes
A diverse portfolio that exhibits excellent use of typography, color, imagery and graphic elements
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Knowledge of front end markup: HTML/CSS/Jquery
2. Strong sketching skills
3. Full knowledge of Adobe CS
4. Icon design
5. Proficient in prototyping skills to convey ideas and concepts.
6. Solid understanding of user centered design principles.
7. Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, team oriented environment.
8. Entrepreneurial personality and ready to work in a startup environment
Bonus Skills
1. Experience in designing rich web applications or Mac user interface is a plus.
2. Image compression best practices
Bachelors or equivalent (a degree in design is a plus)
