AdElement is an exciting new online advertising startup. We are developing a scalable platform that generates highly interactive online display ads dynamically and optimizes the various ad elements to provide the most effective ROI to an advertiser and yield to a web publisher. We need a server side JAVA specialist with commercial experience of writing enterprise class Core JAVA applications. Key skills – strong messaging background, understands SOA, can code REST/SOAP web services, and JMS APIs. Please note that this role is NOT for JAVA Web Development but for integrating a website with a backend using a JAVA based middleware layer. In this role you will report to the Head of Software Engineering and work as part of a small team.

- At least 3 years experience experience in a commercial Web 2.0/product focused company.
- At least 1 yr. Experience working with a commercial message broker such as Websphere MQ/ Active MQ 5.x

Required skills:
- Strong knowledge of JMS, Spring and EJB3. The candidate must be comfortable writing asynchronous applications using JMS and a commercial/opensource EAI/ESB
- Demonstrable experience of integrating PHP/Ruby/Python/JAVA front end applications with backend systems using web services or EAI
- Experience of working with at least one EAI product such as IBM MQ/Webspehere ESB/Tibco Rendezvous/Biztalk/ Sun JCAPs or another popular ESB platform such as CapeClear, FUSE, MuleSource etc.
- Strong skills in Linux admin/bash scripting. Candidates with any experience of the Amazon EC2 hosting system would be given strong preference

Other Skills:
- Familiarity with online advertising and various pricing models such as CPA,PPC, CPL, CPM etc.
- Experience of working in an Agile Environment – ideally SCRUM. A Certified Scrum Master would be ideal for this role. In any case, the candidate needs to have strong familiarity with Agile and Test driven development as the role involves advance preparation of test scripts and a comprehensive testing strategy before commencing coding
