The entire investment in the business is from the promoter himself. Something about the promoter: Sanjay Mehta is a 20+ years experienced serial entrepreneur who has spent the last 11 years working in leadership roles in the Internet business. In other words, he joined the Internet business, around the time that the Internet came to India, and he has been in the industry since then. Initially it offered the pioneering, first of its kind, web-to-snail-mail service, called Online Post. The service became an instant hit, and earned for Homeindia, the award of being “India’s Most Useful Website”. The award was instituted by the Economic Times, and Sanjay received it at the hands of Sabeer Bhatia, founder of Hotmail.com. Over the years, Homeindia.com raised venture capital investment and went into the area of e-commerce. It was perhaps one of the earliest sites from India, to take credit card payments and sell products online, as far back as 1999. The products being sold were ethnic Indian products, and these were sold to customers outside India. Homeindia matured to become one of the premium e-retail sites from India, catering to a global market, and selling expensive designer wear too. In 2007, Sanjay sold Homeindia.com and divested from the business. Thereafter, Sanjay took up the position of COO at Delhi based Compare Infobase Ltd., a company in the Internet businesses. Compare was an 800 person company, and owned more than 1500 websites of its own. Amongst the more popular web properties of Compare were MapsOfWorld.com, MapsOfIndia.com, DGreetings.com, IndiaEdu.com, PicturesIndia.com, HeadlinesIndia.com, etc. Sanjay was in charge of the complete India operations, and managed the Delhi head office, as well as teams based out of Gurgaon and Kolkata. After about 1.5 years at Compare, the entrepreneur’s bug caught Sanjay again, and resigning from Compare, Sanjay has launched this new business, Social Wavelength, in a new company, Social PR Outsourcing Pvt. Ltd. Sanjay maintains an active blog at http://GrayHairWisdom.com where he reviews Internet startups and has helped many young entrepreneurs to find a better business model, for this Internet businesses. Job Details for Content Executives

Overview

Social Wavelength requires a few content executives at this time. These executives will be the front end soldiers for handling client work, in Social Media Management. They will report to Head-Content or in her absence, to the Director / CEO.

The content executives need to be:
- Smart
- Excellent Communicators
- Familiar with Social Media like Facebook, Twitter, Orkut, etc.

But this is a common requirement for ALL team members at Social Wavelength.

Your responsibilities will include:

In addition, the content executives need to have the following profile:
- Must be good readers – read text carefully, be able to analyze the content, and spell out the gist of the content,
- Must be excellent writers with crisp, clean and correct language,
- Must have high maturity to do two way communication – respond to written material, after careful analysis, weighing out pros and cons,
- Must be friendly and fun,
- Must be highly motivated, success focused, ambitious,
- Must be graduates in communications or should have taken communications as main subject in their graduate studies,
- Familiarity with American English will be a big plus,
- Must have 1-3 years experience,
- Freshers with good academic results and supporting own written works (e.g. blogs, short stories, etc.) can also be considered,

All content executives should have ideally been maintaining personal blogs, and must be able to demonstrate their writing skills through the same.

Experience

1-2 years, although freshers with proven writing skills (blogs, etc.) and good academic records may also be considered.

Skills

Excellent communication skills, command on English language

Education

Graduate with good academic record, with specialization in communication preferred.
