Our mission is to make Science and Technology Learning in Schools more interactive, practical, intuitive and fun through DIY(do-it-yourself) Kits.

Our flagship Product is World of Electrons, a DIY (do-it-yourself) Educational kit that makes users learn Electrical and Electronics hands-on through implementation of a variety of projects.

We are currently partnering with Private Schools and providing Training on our kit as a part of our annual educational program. The program has been adopted by 15 Schools of Delhi and we are growing fast out of our garage.

We are launching our first DIY Kit, World of Electrons, in Summer of 2012.

Gurpawan Mand, Founder, CEO

Gurpawan graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from ISM Dhanbad in 2009. Gurpawan is a student entrepreneur, StartingBloc Fellow from London Business School, recipient of Production Technology Medal, award winning debater and researcher. Gurpawan has hands-on experience in Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Building & Leading Teams having worked in 2 start-ups (mobile cum web, education), founded one profitable business (promoting technology literacy in Schools), founded Genesis (E-cell, ISM), two technology prototypes implementation (Wind Rope Pump Technology and RF wireless Robot from WEEE), one engineering project (at NTPC) and one research paper.

Vaibhav Sharma, Co-founder, COO

Vaibhav is an Electrical and Electronics Engineer (2010) from Kurukshetra University and a State Level Karate Gold Medalist. He has an appreciable amount of experience in material handling and event organization having hosted Gaming Events at college. Vaibhav has hands-on experience in Operations and Customer Relationship having worked in BPO and managed operations in the business that Gurpawan founded to promote Technology Literacy in Schools in 2007. After college, he dropped his job at A2Z Group of Industries as Graduate Engineer Trainee to pursue CoolJunk.

Ganesan Rajaram, Head (Commericals)

Ganesan is an entrepreneurial executive with over 35 years of experience in Sales & Marketing of Automobiles & its Ancillaries, Industrial and agricultural implements products. His expertise lies in handling all marketing/ business development activities, analysing market trends & establishing and maintaining healthy customer relations ensuring higher market share.

Before CoolJunk, he served as Asst. General Manager (North) at Sundram Fasteners ltd. where by, he spearheaded the marketing of company’s products to all OEMs of the North such as GKN, Sona Group, Musashi, Gabriel, Delphi and Spicer India through a team of Company Executives and Engineers. Prior to that, he was AGM at Maxworth Orchards Ltd. and was responsible for planning, budgeting and procurement of tractors, farm machineries, diesel generators, pump sets and other capital equipment for farms situated across North India. He was instrumental in negotiating and finalizing contract for supply installation and commissioning of irrigations systems and borewells.

He also co-founded a business in early 90′s and successfully managed sub dealership for TAFE Tractor, Dealership for Kirloskar Pumps and KSB Submersible Pumps in Tamil Nadu for 5 years. He is an MBA in Marketing from FMS Delhi and Mechanical Engineer from Madras University.

Sandeep Soni, Designer (Part Time)

Sandeep is a graduate Petroleum engineer from ISM Dhanbad. He has an appreciable amount of experience in design and animation, having worked on a number of projects covering web design , illustrations, graphic designs, animation and movie making. He is driving the the Design and Animation Division at CoolJunk.

K Ganapathy Subramanian, Stega Capital

Mr. Subramanian is the founder of StegaCapital that focuses on Transformation Advisory services to high growth companies. Mr Subramanian has rich experience of over 19 years in the entrepreneurial ecosystem as a VC (TDICI/ICICI Venture, Founder Partner of Jumpstartup) and an entrepreneur (Founder-CEO of MyDuniya Networks). As a VC the primary focus has been on investments in young and high growth companies in the business services, products and consumer services predominantly in the Information Technology sector in India and US-India Corridor. Mr Subramanian served on the Boards of several companies and has played an active role assistingthose companies in business strategies, growth directions and strategic initiatives.
In his early career, he has held operational roles at Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation Limited and Marico Industries Limited. Mr Subramanian graduated with Honours in C.hemical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirapalli and obtained an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur, India.

Ramgopal Vallath, Ex-COO, iDiscoveri Education

Ramgopal is a management professional with over 19 years of rich experience at senior levels in some of the best organizations in the world including Airtel, iDiscoveri Education, HP and Dell. He served as COO of iDiscoveri Education, where he headed the XSEED business through a 5 fold growth. He created systems and processes to scale up the organizations national footprint. Before iDiscoveri, he was Director, Operations at HP & was responsible for ensuring smooth operations from ‘opportunity to cash’. Prior to that role, he was Director, Operations at Dell International Services and led a team of 600 people handling voice and non-voice technical support for US consumer market.

As COO for Bharti Airtel, Tamil Nadu circle and subsequently Kerala circle, he was part of the leadership team which launched these circles. RamG is MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur and B. Tech. in Electronics & Telecommunicaton Engineering from IIT-M. He is voracious reader, blogger and traveller.

Vaibhav Bhamoriya, Faculty@IIMA

Vaibhav is currently a Faculty at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad with the Centre for Management of Agriculture, IIM Ahmedabad. He has done his PhD from IIMA, served as a Visting Professor at IIM-I, did MBA from IRMA and B.Tech. from ISMU Dhanbad in Mining Machinery Engineering. He is also a Visiting Professor at IIM-I. He is also the cofounder of www.iimcatwalk.com. In the past, he served as a consultant researcher at International Water Management Institute and graduate engineer trainee at Saurashtra Cements Limited. He has good contacts in education management industry, has worked with educational start-ups before and had been with CJ since ideation stage.
